Mine will be a slow one..Mom's got back from work in the morning and now preparing to attend a wedding..I guess one of my relatives' wedding..i dun realli noe coz I dun mix around much..Heard Dad saying this week we shan't go to my granny's home coz she goin' out..wonder where she'll be?? So I guess it'll be me & Fian @ home alone...I am waiting to see the Hindi Movie - Chalo Ishq Ladaye.
"A typical Govinda film, with several sequences, which make no sense whatsoever is what CHALO ISHQ LADAAYE is all about. We don't know if it is inspiration, but this film heavily matches with Alfred Hitchcock film, "STRANGERS ON A TRAIN."The plot revolves round Pappu (Govinda), whose life is controlled by his grandma (Zohra Sehgal). Pappu is in love with a cabaret singer, Bobby (Mink Singh). Our dear Pappu gets only Rs 50 as monthly allowance from his grandmom. Not only that, the mean grandmom also forbids him from watching his favourite heroine Sapna's (Rani Mukherjee) movies.
Though Sapna plans to marry an industrialist, Rahul (Sanjay Suri), she is not very happy about the marriage. Pappu and Sapna get a chance to meet each other, and they strike a deal. A deal that leads to murder. But then things go for a toss when Sapna and Pappu fall in love. So what next? For that you watch CHALO ISHQ LADAYE.
As it is the plot is poorly woven and the execution is still horrible. The very idea of Govinda trying to murder his grandmom is horrible. From the beginning to the end the film moves in a very bad phase. Even the fans of both the lead stars wont find anything interesting.
Comedy by Jhonny Lever and Khader Khan is good. The entire movie banks on humor. Himesh Reshammiya's music is very ordinary. Cinematography is okay. Dialogues are humorous and Jhonny Lever delivers the best lines in the film.
Acting wise Zohra Sehgal is too good as usual. Rani is loud. Govinda could have performed better. Apart from exposing Mink does not do much. Sanjay Suri bores you. Jhonny Lever and Khader Khan have given good performance.
Overall CHALO ISHQ LADAYE, will bore you."
Oh great..not another boring day today? Tot of doing some readings..or maybe sleeping again..Maybe I should shop at Cold Storage and do some cooking...hmm I have Italian food in mind..should I go for it or should I slack with a bag of chips watching the movie?? I wanted to watch Hindi movies at Bedok cinema like da first time I did with him..but that was before..who wuld wanna follow me this time...not all love Hindi movies..or maybe I shall go and get a tix myself to watch 28days later??
